EASY SLEEP KIT VS CONVENTIONAL HOME SLEEP TEST
Our solution is a light wearable apparatus that encompassess all the measurement tools needed for diagnosing sleep disorders. Sensors are located inside a soft, pleasant to the touch, ergonomic, open headband. They are connected at the base to a flexible control unit using flexible thin wires. The flexible control unit is made of a flexible transparent circut-board with its own memory for 250 megabytes of information - temporary storage of control data in case of an emergency shutdown of the device. The memory card works on the principle of a registrar and rewrites the information again in a cyclic mode as it becomes full.
The control unit is powered by a flexible lithium battery 2000 Ah located in the crown of the headband. Charging the battery is provided for in several ways:
- Contactless through the inductor (located in the back of the headband),
- Direct 5V connection through USB cable.
- Recharging through piezoelectric sensors during sleep (touching, pressing, bending, etc.).
Information from the control unit enters the flexible Bluetooth unit (located also in the crown of the headband). Bluetooth unit transmits all collected control’s information and accumulated in the temporary memory card and then transmitted to the smartphone for further decoding, classification, comparison and generalization of the output of the sleep test.
EASY SLEEP KIT works with a free application for the smartphone which sets up the EASY SLEEP KIT and provides the data exchange between the EASY SLEEP KIT and cloud data storage. The accompanying mobile application can play meditative bedtime music in order to start the sleep cycle. There is also a transition to the next phase - sleep monitoring - after appropriate changes in the pulses from one of the installed control devices (decrease in heartbeat, decrease in temperature, decrease in oxygen content in the blood, decrease in respiratory rate, decrease in brain activity).
During the deep phase of sleep, information is collected and processed from the EASY SLEEP KIT device. Information is distributed, concretized, compared, subjected to logical processing and collected into a finished result. The whole process is in the background-mode so as not to interfere with a person’s sleep. Notification possible in emergence to health situations only (respiratory arrest, pulse reduction to a dangerous frequency, etc.)
The result of sleep control obtained after processing is stored in the application and synchronized in the cloud.
